Rosehill 5 diamonds day 8/11/25

ROSEHILL GARDENS

🏇 RACE 1 FAVOUR THE BOLD – looking for the hat trick after a Scone double. Might as well rename the joint “Bold Park.” Up in grade but oozing confidence — expect him to be right there sniffing the photo.
SOCIAL CIRCLE – from Scone too, so half the race probably shared the same horse float. Honest and in form, could circle into the finish. MADRINA – went “vroom” at Kembla and never looked like stopping. Nick Olive’s mare is riding high — confidence up, blinkers on, tail swishing.

🏇 RACE 2 OAKFIELD JUPITER – straight outta Randwick with a fresh win, back for more. HYPERBOLIC – on the seven-day turnaround, clearly loves punishment. SUPER NUI – second-up and back to her pet trip, worth a sneaky peek. PUERTO BANUS – rolls forward, gets the claim, and you get the odds — sounds like a Fat Jockey special.

Fat Jockey says: EW Puerto Banus

🏇 RACE 3 THEBUDGIESMUGLA – bolted in last start, might do it again if he remembered his smugglers. CAPTAIN MAVERICK – the metro bridesmaid, nine runs this prep and still rocking the groomsman suit. STING IN THE TAIL – last-start winner who’ll bite if ignored. QUEEN TAVANE – Wyong warrior who might just pinch it.

Fat Jockey says: No bet —

🏇 RACE 4 JUST TOO FLY – hasn’t missed the podium yet, fresh and ready. SHADY THINKER – comes with more form than your tax return. MIDNIGHT DYNAMITE – on the quick backup, could explode late.

🏇 RACE 5 HURSTVILLE ZAGREB – fit, firing, and might just blitz them. BROSNAN – the danger, always around the mark, just never quite there.LUSKAIRE – three on the bounce and doesn’t look done yet. BRAVE CALL – Queensland castaway who’s overdue for luck.

Fat Jockey says: EW Brave Call

🏇 RACE 6 REVENGEANCE – solid debut, trialled well, looks ready. ARTEMEX – Maher debutant, trialled like a proper horse. ANTHROPOID – better for the run, might surprise with a brain this time. DEFENSEMEN – slow away last start, but longer trip could be the ticket.

Fat Jockey says: Best EW Defensemen

🏇 RACE 7 MISS ROUMBINI – big race form, but the Invitation was a touch spicy.MIRAVAL ROSE – solid mare who keeps showing up, bit like your ex’s new bloke. POUNCE – first-up, trialled well, could surprise if sharp.

Fat Jockey says: EW Pounce

🏇 RACE 8 TRANSATLANTIC – flying, winning, and probably flying business class too. MILITARIZE – the classy type who always turns up to work. BULLET POINT – fresh and dangerous. RISE AT DAWN – never out of the money this prep. FIRESTORM – on the backup, Empire Rose form — risky, but spicy.

Fat Jockey says: EW Firestorm

🏇 RACE 9 TAXATION – 2/2 and not paying a cent. Perfectly placed. WEEPING WOMAN – honest trier, more seconds than a microwave timer. KIMBERLEY SECRETS – fast, cheeky, and might just steal it.

Fat Jockey says: EW Taxation

🏇 RACE 10 FROSTY GIRL – unbeaten and cold as ice under pressure. FORMAL DISPLAY – tough and honest, always gives a sight. ALABAMA STATE – third-up and primed, might roll the favourites late.

FLEMINGTON

Strap in punters, the big track’s primed, the form’s flaky, and the Fat Jockey’s running hotter than a pie warmer at the local footy. Let’s get into it 👇

Race 2 SABAJ hit the line OK first-up at Randwick and second-up is when this horse usually remembers what the winning post looks like. Serious threat. NATION’S CALL shocked punters last start — the type of horse that makes you throw your ticket in the bin then pull it back out in disbelief. Might go on with it. SEVEN’S — two metro wins this prep, flying like a seagull near hot chips. The Fat Jockey’s each-way play — SEVEN’S.

Race 4 SHE’S A HUSTLER — two on the trot and strutting around like she owns the joint. Hard to knock. ALALCANCE — freshened, trialled, and ready to give a cheeky wink to the punters. Keep safe. MOVIN OUT — complete forgive run last start, did more work mid-race than a pub bouncer on Cup Day. Better map, better chance.

The Fat Jockey’s on MOVIN OUT

Race 6 GIGA KICK — back with a bang in the Schillaci, kicking like a mule late. Big boy’s back and means business.JOLIESTAR quality mare, 3 from 8 at Group 1 level, and first-up win was slicker than a greased saddle. Each-way only if the rain stays away, JOLIESTAR

Race 7 CEOLWULF — that King Charles win was filth. Blinkers on, horse just said “see ya later” to some serious names. MR BRIGHTSIDE champion, but maybe starting to feel the weight of all those trophies. Still the one they’ve got to beat. TREASURETHE MOMENT — running out of her skin, Cox Plate third says she’s no mug. PRIDE OF JENNI — will throw down the gauntlet and dare them to catch her. LEICA LUCY — lightly raced at this level but has that sneaky “could ruin your quaddie” energy.
The Fat Jockey’s advice? Sit back, crack a cold one and watch — this’ll be a cracker of a mile.

Race 8 PIER — honest as they come, tried hard in the King Charles, will eat up the 2000m like it’s a post-race buffet. VIA SISTINA — Cox Plate queen, loves wet or dry, and looks the testing material. POINT KING — perfect draw, could sneak into the minors if the big guns go too early.
Fat Jockey’s each-way punt: VIA SISTINA

Race 9 GRAND LARCENY — running well and perfectly placed to pinch one before the stewards notice. STOLI BOLLI — five placings in a row, knocking harder than a door-to-door salesman. Surely due. SWEETHEARTED — ran enormous first-up from the carpark draw, better barrier now, and will be flying late.
