Wednesday wrap

Canterbury Race Day Recap – Heavy 9

Race 1 – INFUSION sat pretty, peeled out and went zoop! past them to win nicely. MISS JONES over-raced like she’d had six Red Bulls for breakfast, still stormed into 3rd – just needs some racing manners (or Ritalin). MAQUISA was the flashing light – trapped in the M5 tunnel for most of the straight, finally saw daylight and flew late. Should’ve won. Straight to the black book.

Race 2 – SAPPHIRE ROSE powered home like she had jets on, swamping them late for the win. ISSY’S STAR jumped like she was late for work, hit the front, fought hard… just got swamped. DIVO led them up, copped pressure and stuck on for 2nd like a soldier. ALPHARD? Horror show. Buried, blocked, butchered. Even Stevie Wonder saw that was a black book run.

Race 3 – Field shrank to four after scratchings… more of a barrier trial than a race. SIGNOR TORTONI toughed it out to beat KILONOVA who looked the winner but wilted late. Not much else to say – blink and you missed it.

Race 4 – CENTENARIO timed her run beautifully, gobbled them up late like a seagull on a chip. STARPHISTOCARED stuck on well after hitting the front – she’ll pinch one soon. NARBOLD was sneaky good, plenty of upside – keep your eye on him.

Race 5 – DESI EMPEROR said “Catch me if you can,” jumped, led, and kept going. MAFIA looked sharp first-up for the new camp, definite follow. Rest were just making up numbers.

Race 6 – HANAU snuck up the fence like a cat burglar, saw daylight and kaboom – race over. SILENTSTAR jumped, led, and turned into a statue late – 3rd was fair. THE REPLICANT is slowly piecing it together – might snag a win in 2037.

Race 7 – MONARCHS BRAE loves Canterbury like a tradie loves a bacon & egg roll – jumped, led, too tough. MAJORIAN absolutely launched from nowhere – big eye-catcher. KAZALARK was solid, HAVLAND found nothing but bad luck, and LENAPE had his chance but looked around, found Sniper aiming at him late. That’s enough – sacked.

Summary:
The track was heavy, the rides were wild, and the ducks were thrilled. Some horses flew, others flopped, and a few might need counselling after today. Add MAQUISA, HANAU, MAJORIAN and ALPHARD to your black book – and maybe a rubber duck for good luck.

Saturday race review

Race 1Raging Force hit the ground like it owed it money—raging on roids, never losing that. Horseshoe Hill chased like a debt collector for 2nd, big eyeballs run. Lull over-raced early like a toddler on red cordial but worked home well into 3rd—manners pending.

Race 2African Daisy blinkers on, brain switched on—no idea where that effort came from but she brained them. Equilibrist snuck into 2nd like a 2am Maccas run—unexpected but very satisfying. Donwon was honest into 3rd, no complaints here.

Race 3Lordster took off like it had a jetpack on, stormed clear and said “catch me if you can”. Powder Man launched from the clouds like a missile into 2nd. Exit Fee should pay us for watching that run—ugly.

Race 4Diddle Dumpling jumped, led, and said “see ya”—gets the win. Golden Strand flew late into 2nd like a Jetstar flight finally landing. Codetta into the black book—ran that well even Stevie Wonder gave him a nod. Sister Daae... yikes. She’s officially on notice.

Race 5Storm The Ramparts jumped, led, and torched them—too good. Tarpaulin did everything wrong like it was its first day at school, knocked up late. First Landing gave chase, found 2nd, solid run.

Race 6Hi Dubai jumped, led, won... again. How do we keep falling for this pattern? Savagery Vibe found more trouble than a celebrity at a Diddy baby oil party—flashed late, should’ve won. Arts Alive massive return run, follow next time like it owes you money.

Race 7Good Banter stormed home in an absolute dog's breakfast of a race and somehow won. Cormac T tried to wrestle the win, just missed. Seafall found more traffic than the M4 on a Friday—complete forgive job.

Race 8Cloudland came from another postcode, stormed down the outside and wins—no one knows how, including the jockey. Cosmonova floated into 2nd like a space cadet. Fleetwood gave effort into 3rd. Cigar Flick never saw daylight—ran into more backsides than a nightclub bouncer. Total forget run.

Race 9Estadio Mestalla loomed up, wanted it more, and snatched it. Robusto—yes, Robusto—snuck into 2nd like it had a disguise on. Accredited stuck on for a gutsy 3rd. Green Fly had every chance and was just plain—next.

Race 10Brave One dug deep and held on like a pub lock-in. Little Cointreau laid out under pressure like a beach towel—cost herself the win. Sacred Rocks rattled home late like it just remembered the race was still on.

Elsewhere for Fat Jockey's Bank
Valentiago fought hard into 2nd—big run.
Ant (down in Melbourne) was boxed up, found daylight late, and charged up the inside to just miss. File that one under "how did that not win?!"

Summary: A glorious day of betting, black-booking, bafflement, and a bank balance boost for the Fat Jockey faithful. Giddy up! 🐎💰

mid week racing wrap

Warwick Farm Wash-Up – July 2nd
Track: Heavy 10
Mood: Moist.
Punters: Slightly traumatised.

Race 1 – With most of the field running for cover, only four braved the slop. Dyami did the best impression of a mudlark and fought hard to win. Rach was the flashing light run in what was essentially a very wet barrier trial.

Race 2 – Tomato Toastie sat off the pace, loomed ominously on the turn, and smoked them like Sunday bacon. Ernaux has officially been sacked. He’s had more chances than a bad girlfriend and still lets us down.

Race 3 – Vanessi led, kicked, and ran out of gas like a 1994 Corolla. Killer Kerr snuck up the fence like a thief in the night to pinch it. Meanwhile, Honey Perfume continues her commitment to never actually winning a race.

Race 4 – Welcome Gypsy jumped, led, and was gunned down late by Fat Jockey tip Romeo’s Choice, who stormed home like a wet-track wizard. First-up, heavy track – yes please. Easy money for the believers.

Race 5 – Travolta danced up the fence and took the win, but not before the stewards almost ran out of notepads from all the interference. American Starlet was absolutely poleaxed – complete forgive job.

Race 6 – Nana’s Wish swam through the swamp like Ian Thorpe in his prime and bolted in. Blinkers on for Hopper… yeah, nah. That experiment failed like a backyard science project.

Race 7 – Sound Banker raced like a rocket early, but by the time they straightened, he was nearly shoved through the running rail. Complete forgive. While that chaos unfolded, Covert Thinking said “see ya later” and dashed away. Aroha Stone ran well in behind.

BONUS BET – Queensland Race 8:
First Man launched home into 3rd and added a little coin to the kitty – the best result of the day in a state where the sun actually came out.

💸 Summary:
A swampy, sloppy, stop-start kind of day. Winners were hard to find, interference was everywhere, and the punting gods were not kind. But thanks to Romeo’s Choice and Nana’s Wish, we’re still cashed up for Saturday and ready to reload.

Quack quack. See you on the dry!

ROSEHILL RAMPAGE – 14 BETS, 4 WINNERS, 4 SECONDS & A POCKET FULL OF CASH💰

Race 1 – Rolling Magic was just that – rolled in late like a magician and pulled a win out of the hat. Khumbila jumped like a greyhound and got chased down like a postie by a dog. Pretty Tavi looked pretty average late – forgive and follow.

Race 2 – New Pharoah, the favourite, decided to give them a seven-length head start for a challenge. Still lost. Red Rags to Bulls was the bull – perfect ride, barged through and won. Pensativa loomed like a threat, but the sniper in the grandstand got her late. Think Like Paddy caught the eye – crying out for 1600-1800m. Black booker.

Race 3 – Puntin is just a winner. Four from six and did it easy. Maori Chief found more backsides than a bloke on Oxford Street Mardi Gras night – complete forgive. Don’t Forget Jack – brave as hell, stormed home into second like he had something to prove.

Race 4 – Changing Colours changed gears and put a gap on them. Looks classy. Weeping Woman got sniped late again, might need a priest. Fairway Star was flying late – big prep coming.

Race 5 – Kings Secret launched like a North Korean missile – boom! Spywire was electric first-up, pay to follow. Manaajem… yeah, nah, absolutely stunk.

Race 6 – Thunderlips found lightning legs and stormed over them – cracker ride. Zouatica gave a good kick, just nailed late. Mickey’s Medal had way too much to do – forget he went around.

Race 7 – Bacio Del Mist – zero from 12 before this… wins like Phar Lap. How? Don’t ask. Mormona gave her all – brave in defeat.

Race 8 – MisterKipchoge… FINALLY! After throwing more cash at him than a Thai hooker on a Saturday night – he wins! Didn’t back him. Crying. Pure Alpha ran well. Piggyback found more trouble than a school kid with matches – should’ve finished closer.

Race 9 – Elamaz said catch me if you can – jump, lead, win. Zoom. Like last week’s curry – too hot and gone too quick.

Race 10 – Lady Extreme went full heart mode, rails run and gets up. Snack Bar is as hot-and-cold as a servo pie, but on his day – look out. Slinky sizzled late, massive run – black book.

Elsewhere:

  • Newcastle: Winners galore, Newy stormed to second after never being on track. Escargoes drifted like a Woolies trolley – cost himself again.

  • Crop Duster exploded, left scorch marks.

  • Eagle Farm: Miss Joelene sharp as ever up the fence. Quietness flew late for second.

A day full of winners, heartbreak, comebacks, and a few swear words. Laughs were had, pockets were lined, and livers were tested. See you next week, punters! 🐎🍻 #FatJockey

Vote No

Well punters the day has arrived by 4pm we will know the fate of Rosehill racecourse in what that Ding bat greens Chris Minns calls a once in a generation opportunity to turn a racecourse into 25,000 new houses and win himself some votes. It’s been a 17 month saga involving racing folk property deals and parliamentary inquiries and the corruption watchdog

They want to sell the racecourse to the state government for 5 billion dollars

And that’s just what the club is asking the government has not actually committed to paying 5 billion

In return for giving up the historical racecourse the ATC has promised 1.9 billion worth of upgrades to Sydney tracks so we will get a paint job and some stands thank you that’s very kind

The club’s chairman Peter McGauran who just happens to be good friends with Chris Minns maybe lovers not sure thinks this is a vital safeguard the future of racing!! Please explain Mr McGauran and his exact words “there’s a strict deadline on the proposal for the government to start the new Metro line adjacent to the track and need to know if the ATC is selling or not..

let’s look at the light rail and all the tunnels and that fucking M5 how can we imagine this metro thing and how much more millions we will over spend for us to pay off this government is fucked has no idea couldn’t organise a meat raffle

They also want to put a new track at Penrith who the fuck watches racing out there maybe car racing and they want to dig up a golf course to put it there you think the golfers are all excited for that

The sale WILL cause businesses financial headaches having to move all the horses and train in regional areas , loosing long term staff who cannot relocate effecting there life and mental health

So today 4pm we wait and see

Vote No!!!!
